#UniquelyFemale@CSRGI - A really inspiring session with the WIMBIZ ladies today. A couple of years ago l was one of those who didn't believe in women''s groups or associations, for some reason l assumed it was all about fashion - and l simply didn't want that pressure. Today, with my association with WIMBIZ l think differently. I have Jumoke Fagbemi and Beverly Spencer-Obatoyinbo to thank for this. I'v learnt a lot from these strong UniquelyFemale beautiful women.

Now l truly seek to make a difference. Bringing hope to millions of challenged women and children - who have gone through emotional or physical abuse and trauma and are vulnerable. HOR

I'm back.... and excited to be writing again. This really shouldn't be tedious and definitely not an academic exercise... but a process through which my thoughts and your thoughts can be gathered together to form a public opinion and more importantly a source of influence for good.

Quick question: what is right and what is wrong? I remember growing up... my opinion of what is right and acceptable was substantially different from my parents views.. This reality may be the same today...

Is it right for anyone to be bullied and intimidated? When that occurs... do we speak out or stay silent..

I was bullied once but stayed silent at the time...but last night.... i spoke freely in the midst of former colleagues... I, however, (may be wrong)...observed that, it didn't quite resonate with a few of them... so I left with mixed feelings, thinking maybe I should have been quiet... I guess this is the way it is...when you are trying to push that which is right in a place where it is culturally thought and believed that the best approach is to KEEP QUIET.

But I believe that deplorable and unacceptable behaviours will simply be reinforced if we stay silent... So this morning... I woke up to saying yes to my values, the values of mutual respect, of decorum, of positive reinforcement and of acceptance and not discrimination. A value which seeks to protect the vulnerable and succour for those who are hurting... so guess what.. We must SPEAK OUT and say no to that which is unacceptable.

Increasingly, we find it hard to get justice for victims of abuse.. but l believe that the more we speak out, the more we can do.. So please give voice to what you believe in..

Best regards,
